Named by CNNmoney.com as one of the top 100 business to work for, HomeBanc Mortgage is a predominantly Christian company that respects the faith of each employee and strives to treat each associate with dignity.
Included in its vision is putting others' needs ahead of one's own, a precious ideal in the world of business. "By serving others with the heart of a servant, we strive to enrich and fulfill the lives of our associates, our customers and our communities."
When HomeBanc needed to cut costs, annual bonuses to top executives were halted. The sixty employees that were laid were awarded severance, extra paid vacation, and outplacement help.
Unfortunately, HomeBanc filed for bankrupcy in August of 2007. But its vision and commitment to ethics will surely live on.
